Community Health Charities of New Mexico is the New Mexico affiliate of the national federation, Community Health Charities, which is a partnership venture of over 50 of our nation's most well known and respected health charities.

Incorporated in the State of New Mexico as a 501C(3) non-profit corporation in 1978, Community Health Charities of New Mexico is comprised of 24 of these well known national health charities that have offices and volunteers providing services to people throughout New Mexico, as well as additional health charities who provide services only in New Mexico's communities:

The mission of Community Health Charities of New Mexico is to build increased awareness of, and financial support for, the vital role its member health charities play in promoting the complete physical, mental, spiritual and social well-being of all New Mexicans, and not merely acknowledging the absence of disease or infirmity.

Public Awareness Efforts

"Awareness" is the very first step in successfully providing educational and support services to New Mexicans, and their families, who are affected by major diseases and disabilities. Community Health Charities of New Mexico is an organizer and conduit of awareness opportunities for its member health charities through numerous educational health fairs, printed brochures, printed resource listings, informational videos, speaking engagements, People Teaching People, Legislative Health & Wellness initiatives, and the Annual Holiday Cookie Walk.

"Awareness" is also a first step in gaining community financial support for the life-saving research being conducted by the member health charities of Community Health Charities, as well as the vital educational and support services offered. Without financial support, these programs, services, and research efforts can not exist in New Mexico. Our ROAR program puts seniors in the workforce at no cost to our member charities, while enhancing their mission efforts.

Workplace Giving Efforts

With more than 25 years experience in workplace fundraising, Community Health Charities is one of the most cost-effective nonprofit organizations in the State, as well as on a national scope. Community Health Charities of New Mexico links New Mexico's most generous employees with New Mexico's most well known and respected health charities. Beginning in 2008, Community Health Charities will manage the $1.3M C&NNM Combined Federal Campaign.
